K.A. Lentz was born 'n raised in San Jose, CA, and currently lives in eastern Washington State. She shares her life with her husband and muse M.A. Lentz, and a chihuahua/spaniel (spihuahua--say it, it's fun) named Sokka. For her, curiosity is a continuous state of mind which she sates with research, reading, and exploring. Her influences in writing began with Dr. Seuss and evolved over the years to include authors such as Anne Rice, Terry Pratchett, Diana Gabaldon, and J.R.R. Tolkien.
At present, she is working on book two of The Reaper Realm series and a short-story project titled The Reaper Realm Chronicles.

Didn't learn to paddle a canoe until the age of nineteen.

Thinks cilantro tastes like soap (yep, I'm one of them).

Has played well over a hundred games across a variety of gaming platforms, including arcades.

Made up character stories for numbers 0-12 when learning them in school.

Traveled from ocean to ocean and border to border in the U.S., and visited nine different countries.

I like round numbers, so...technically I've been in ten different countries after adding the U.S.
